New Programs: Empire Afterschool


Gaming Afterschool

Every Wednesday and Thursday selected students from 4th and 5th grade Learn how to play board games and how to problem solve and strategize. Soon they will be creating their own games. Stay tuned!

Math &Social Emotional learning Club

Students learn Math problem solving strategies while learning social emotional skills such as collaboration, cooperation and perseverance.

Art Club

On Fridays Selected students learn about the different art mediums with our art teacher Ms. Gorinson. Each week they create a new projectto take home.

Soccer and Math

In this club, our students  get to play soccer and also learn how to solve Math problems. They learn while having fun at the same time.

Book Club and Walking Club

Children get to talk about books and lead conversations together. They also get to walk around the track to get their cardiovascular system going. Healthy bodies =healthy minds!



Morning Program

Tuesday-Friday  7:00-8:00 

The iReady Program prepares our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students for the demands of the ELA and Math State Test.

This program supports our students learning a second Language by reinforcing reading, writing, listening and speaking.

Saturday Academy

Saturdays 9:00 AM-11:30 AM

This program services grades 3-5 and helps teach them test taking strategies that will help them be successful on the State Exams.

Arts Enrichment



Architecture Residency with Marquis Through building models and planning designs, students discover the architectural process using math and Problem solving. Our students designed the following building for their community: A Kids Pizza Shop, An Ice cream Parlor, A Children's Museum to name a few 

Taiko Drumming


Japanese traditional Taiko drumming with Hector!! Each student plays the rhythm of Taiko drumming as well as learns about Japanese culture.



In this residency children design and create their own puppets. After creating their puppets, students work in groups to create a script and begin the puppet show production.



In this project based multimedia residency students use multimedia to gain technological skills and engage in creative exploration. Student discuss in their production teams the content of their film,write story boards and craft an original script.



Students worked in teams to program their robots to make them move! 



In Theatre Moves students learn to work in cooperative groups to put on a creative show.
